ABOUT 10 GENERATIONS

Construction projects are consistently over budget, behind schedule, and with little to show for it. 10 Generations eliminates these issues with a highly collaborative, data driven approach that puts the client in the drivers seat.

The world is changing at an unprecedented pace and our building solutions are not keeping up. Value engineering, inconsistent designs, and ever-increasing costs mean construction projects and even simple building maintenance is painful for building owners and tenants.

Building codes themselves are increasing in complexity to require significant experience to navigate the permitting process. Very often, the new edge technologies are not applied appropriately or to the correct project to fully realize the benefits.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

A high performance building is designed and built to sustain severe conditions using high quality, long lasting materials. As a result, these buildings often perform their function without significant retrofit longer than a standard building.

A building built to perform its function for 10 Generations (roughly 300 years) is the pinnacle of low carbon, sustainable goals.

We believe a good construction project sustains owners, workers, and dozens of other stakeholders. From the smallest project to a brand new building, reducing time, cost, and complexity benefits a significantly larger whole than just those completing the project.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Nate Bolton, Head Engineer & Founder

Nate founded 10 Generations in 2025, after over 15 years of experience in energy efficiency and mechanical engineering. Seeing the traditional approaches to project design and building sustainability, something had to change to benefit all stakeholders. With certifications in Passive House, Lean Six Sigma, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Nate is well-suited to bring all of his experience to the table for successful client projects.
